The dissemination of Lysichiton americanum starting from plantations and its distribution in the area of the Großer Feldberg in the Taunus (Hesse, Germany) are reported on. The habitats found in the years 1982 to 1992 are described and shown on a distribution map. The report mentions the tendency of the species to spread and points to the risks this implies for the autochthonous fen vegetation.
